If you think about Christ's atoning sacrifice, what image's comes to your mind? Via Delarosa, the nail scared hands or the crown of thorns, what about the precious blood running down the Cross? What ever the image, I want to make this point: IT'S PERSONAL! the atoning sacrifice is a intimate issue. I think about all the times in my life when I didn't feel worthy to stand in the presence of God. My sin stained garments, righteousness as filthy rags. my spirit in the most desperate of conditions. Jesus I need you, I'm sinking in the Myer again. I can't see you! I can't hear you! Save me from myself. And then I see and feel His light. The warmth of His arms picking me up and washing me clean. Oh the love of God! Thank you Jesus for leaving the glory of heaven and giving Your life so I can kneel in the throne room and give You all the praise and honor and glory that are rightfully Yours. You see His atoning sacrifice is very personal to me. We were created to live in the holy presence of God. To bask in His goodness and to have eternal Communion at the table of the Lord. Is Jesus your personal Lord and Saviour? Invite Him into your life and let not His atoning sacrifice be in vain. The Lion of Judah bids you come and partake of His goodness. May His mercy and grace fill your life, so much so, that a river of life will flow forth out of your being. "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
